Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
A: Construction remodeling lead me to full time home and condo inspecting.

 

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Sarasota County, and what do you love there?
A: Ophelia’s on the Bay, great seafood.

 

Q: How long have you lived or worked in Sarasota County?
A: 2011, that is 9 years.

 

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Sarasota County?  Who would you like to see nominated as a Face of Sarasota County?
A: Jack Tatum, Jack’s family has a long history in Sarasota dating back to 1890’s. A school is named after the family having homesteaded here and a golf course too.

 

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?  And why?
A: Scandinavia, I have family there.

 

Q: What is your favorite movie OR what is the first movie you remember seeing in a theatre?
A: Wow, I am really dating myself, a western, Paint Your Wagon with Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood.

 

Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: Be tolerant and nice to others.

 

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: Travel outside the country.

Q: What is your favorite music/ 3 bands you would like to see (dead or alive)?
A: Classic rock.

 

Q: What current / former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Sarasota County?
A: The Bay, the John Ringling Bridge and Bay Park where Marina Jack’s is located.

 

Q: Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative: with whom would you love to have lunch?  Why?  Where in Sarasota County would you have lunch?
A: Bruce Springsteen, he has a lot of insights. I would take him to a dive-bar, that is what he likes.

 

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Sarasota County?
A: The Keys, more than just one.

 

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?
A: Still be here and continue my inspecting work.

 

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: I use to horseback ride. But years ago I did cook professionally, so that might surprise people.

 

Q: What 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
A: Sunlight, sunsets and sand.
